Crystal Palace have announced the completion of the signing of exciting teenage attacker Zavier Gozo from Real Salt Lake. The club declared: “He’s Palace now. We are delighted to have completed the signing of exciting teenage attacker Zavier Gozo from Real Salt Lake 🦅.”
The 19-year-old United States youth international has put pen to paper on a five-year contract at Selhurst Park, subject to international clearance. The deal, reportedly worth around $15 million (£11.1 million), represents a club-record transfer fee for Real Salt Lake and marks another significant addition to Palace’s squad ahead of the new Premier League season.
Born on 22 March 2007 in West Valley City, Utah, Gozo progressed through the Real Salt Lake academy after joining in 2021. He made his Major League Soccer debut as a 16-year-old in October 2023 and has since developed into one of the most promising young attackers in the league. In the 2026 MLS season he contributed six goals and four or five assists in 16 appearances, earning selection for the MLS All-Star Game. Versatile enough to operate as a winger or wing-back, he combines elite athleticism, dribbling ability and an increasing end product.
Gozo becomes Palace’s sixth signing of the summer window under new head coach Pierre Sage, following Oscar Mingueza, Takehiro Tomiyasu, Dwight McNeil, Evann Guessand and Anan Khalaili. He will link up with fellow American Chris Richards at the club. Palace chairman Steve Parish welcomed the arrival, describing Gozo as “an exciting young talent” and expressing anticipation for what he can achieve in South London.
The player himself shared his excitement: “I’m really looking forward to playing in the Premier League with Crystal Palace. It’s the dream of any footballer. I’m excited by the people and the project they have going on here.” Capped by the United States at every youth level up to under-23s, Gozo arrives as a highly regarded prospect with senior international potential.
Palace begin their Premier League campaign at Everton this weekend. Fans will hope the Utah native can make an immediate impact in the famous red and blue.
