Borussia Mönchengladbach Tried Everything to Stop Leeds United From Landing Nico Elvedi

Leeds United are on the verge of completing a major defensive addition, with Nico Elvedi closing in on a move from Borussia Mönchengladbach. The Switzerland international has been linked with Leeds for some time, but the Bundesliga club reportedly did everything possible to convince their long-serving defender to stay. He brings years of Bundesliga experience, international pedigree and a relationship with Farke that could help him settle quickly. For Mönchengladbach, however, his exit marks the end of an era.
