According to a report from David Ornstein of The Athletic, Germany national team attacker and former VfB Stuttgart star Nick Woltemade has been told he is allowed to leave the Magpies on loan for this season.

If Woltemade is smart, he will head back to Germany.
After a wasted season where he quickly fell out of favor, Woltemade needs a jolt of support and confidence. There is no better place for him to do that than at home in the Bundesliga. How Newcastle handles the loan in terms of fees and Woltemade’s salary will be interesting, as it will likely look to make some kind of money off of this deal or at least get a big part of his salary off of its books for this season.
With Jürgen Klopp’s recent appointment as head coach of the German national team, Woltemade can ill-afford to be on the bench this season.
