Nottingham Forest could make decisive offer for signing – Player on verge of leaving

Nottingham Forest have to take swift action to avoid losing to AS Roma in the battle for Feyenoord’s Givairo Read.
The right-back has attracted interest from several clubs, but the Premier League side were the first to submit an offer.
Feyenoord have rejected three bids from Nottingham Forest, and the last one was around €21-23m. Three days ago, there was confidence in the Netherlands that he will join the Reds, after verbally agreeing a five-year deal worth €20m.
That isn’t the case now because the Italian club have entered the race. On Thursday, Sport Witness relayed news of them submitting a bid higher than the last one tabled by Oliver Glasner’s side.
Roma overtake Nottingham Forest
Givairo Read
Voetbal International picks up on that and claims the Serie A side have overtaken the City Ground club.
That’s because their first offer is at least €25m and therefore, the Dutch club will sit down for negotiations.
The 20-year-old is also in favour of joining Gian Piero Gasperini’s side and has verbally agreed a five-year deal. He also has an agreement in place with Nottingham Forest.
It will now be down to his suitors to agree terms with Feyenoord. To do this, AS Roma’s delegation want to travel to the Netherlands to complete the transfer.
Nottingham Forest running out of time
The Giallorossi’s negotiations with Feyenoord are in full swing and they want to take Givairo Read back to Italy.
This shows both the Netherlands U21 international and his club are in favour of his sale. With Roma wanting to close the operation, he seems to be on the verge of leaving the Eredivisie side.
Oliver Glasner’s side are keeping a close watch on developments. Nottingham Forest, who have seen three bids rejected, could ‘decide to add something’ to turn it into a battle with Roma. In short, they could make a decisive offer.
The English club have to act quickly. If not, the Serie A side can wrap up this deal soon.
