Leeds United made their second signing of the summer official on Friday, confirming the arrival of Tarik Muharemovic in a £34 million deal.
The Bosnia international has been brought in to replace Pascal Struijk, who left for Brighton earlier in the transfer window, giving Daniel Farke a direct replacement at the heart of his defence.
Leeds have also strengthened their attacking options with the free signing of Harry Wilson and remain keen to add an attacking midfielder as they look to bring more creativity to the squad ahead of the new season.
The Whites have been in talks with Julian Brandt and are now pushing to sign Lyon attacking midfielder Pavel Sulc, who is likely to cost £21.3m this summer.
A move for one or two attacking midfielders is likely to bring down the curtains on the future of a certain Leeds star at Elland Road.

Daniel Farke and Leeds’ focus on bringing in an attacking midfielder or even two shows that they are aware of the lack of creativity in the middle of the park.
Harry Wilson’s ability to score from long range means Leeds will have an extra weapon to unlock stubborn defences next season. However, they still need more creativity.
Their interest in Brandt and Sulc shows that Leeds are aware that they need something more from their midfield to create and score more goals.
However, the arrival of an attacking midfielder is bad news for Brenden Aaronson, who came under fire last season due to his lack of output in the final third.
He is one of the most trusted players for Farke, as he values the work rate the American midfielder brings to the Leeds team. However, as an attacking midfielder, he does not create or score enough.
Leeds’ push to strengthen their attacking midfield options suggests Farke is not entirely convinced by Brenden Aaronson’s output in the final third.
Brenden Aaronson is under threat at Elland Road
Daniel Farke is a big fan of the player, and his insistence has led to suggestions that Leeds are likely to offer Brenden Aaronson a new contract.
However, if Leeds go on to sign Julian Brandt, Pavel Sulc, or even both, there will be doubts over whether the American will see enough game time next season.
Aaronson would still have his value in games where Leeds would need a tireless runner on the pitch. But it is unclear whether it would make sense for the player to stick around for occasional starting eleven appearances.
If Leeds end up signing one or two attacking midfielders, Aaronson may decide against signing a new deal and look to move on from Elland Road this summer.
