Jack Grealish left out of Everton squad again for Premier League trip to Newcastle

The England international has found himself at the centre of an unwanted situation at Everton after being excluded from the squad for disciplinary reasons, with his latest omission raising further questions about his relationship with the club’s management and his immediate future in the team.

Grealish was left out of Everton’s squad for their Carabao Cup fourth-round victory over Newcastle United last Thursday after reportedly missing a scheduled training session without permission. The club subsequently confirmed that his absence was related to a breach of disciplinary rules.

The incident came just days after the 31-year-old missed Everton’s Premier League defeat against Arsenal, although that particular absence was attributed to illness.
Consequently, Monday’s trip to Newcastle will represent his third successive game on the sidelines.

Disciplinary Breach Leaves Moyes Unimpressed
The circumstances surrounding Grealish’s latest absence have attracted considerable attention, particularly given his importance to Everton’s attacking ambitions.
Reports indicate that the former Manchester City midfielder failed to attend a training session without obtaining permission from the club. Everton subsequently decided that disciplinary action was necessary, ruling him out of the Carabao Cup encounter.

David Moyes has publicly supported the club’s decision, making it clear that no individual player should be considered bigger than Everton’s collective standards.
Speaking after his team’s 3-1 victory over Newcastle, the Everton manager declined to disclose further details about the incident.

Moyes described the decision as a club matter and insisted that he supported the action taken.
His comments suggested that Everton intend to maintain a firm disciplinary culture, regardless of a player’s reputation or standing within the squad.
