Liverpool’s transfer window is finally coming to life.
Already in talks to sign Bradley Barcola in a big-money move from Paris Saint-Germain, the Reds have now also got their sights set on Ibrahim Mbaye in a double swoop from the French giants. The winger looks destined to leave the European champions and Anfield could be awaiting.

Then, it may be back to Tyneside to compile Newcastle’s misery. 12 months after signing Alexander Isak from St James’ Park, it’s now Nick Woltemade who finds himself on Liverpool’s radar.

Liverpool’s new-look attack?

It’s a massive season for Isak. The Swede disappointed in the last campaign, as his debut season became centred around injury struggles. Now, there is no excuse to fall back on. He showed glimpses of his quality at the World Cup and must become the talisman that Liverpool paid for this season.

Rio Ngumoha

One player who is likely to play a bigger role is Rio Ngumoha. There’s every chance that he’s handed a starting place under Andoni Iraola, who does not shy away from giving young talent opportunities to impress.

Bradley Barcola
If Barcola arrives this summer, then it could see Liverpool break the Premier League’s transfer record once again. As far as the Reds are concerned, though, the Frenchman will be worth the money if he injects world-class quality into their flanks again.

Ibrahim Mbaye
Ngumoha, Victor Munoz, Mbaye. Liverpool won’t have to worry about the future of their frontline if they welcome the latter this summer. The 18-year-old is an incredibly exciting and direct winger who would be the perfect match for Ngumoha.

Nick Woltemade
Any potential deal for Woltemade is still in the early stages and it seems unlikely that Newcastle sell to Liverpool for anything less than a major price. But the opportunity is not dead in the water and Liverpool certainly need another striker amid Hugo Ekitike’s long-term injury.

Victor Munoz
Like Mbaye, Munoz is one for the future. His work out of possession especially attracted Iraola and that should be on show for all to see with every opportunity that he receives.

There’s a lot of work for Liverpool to do before the transfer window comes to a close. Whether that sees them swoop in to deal Newcastle yet another blow remains to be seen, however.

As reported by Caught Offside, Newcastle have now told Woltemade that he can leave this summer. The news has alerted Liverpool, as they look to add to their frontline before the window slams shut.
Their source claims Newcastle are ‘keen on a permanent sale for around €65m (£55m)’ however, while the interested suitors – who include both Liverpool and Manchester United along with Dortmund, Atletico and Aston Villa – prefer a loan with an option to buy.

Praised for his “excellent” close-control by scout Jacek Kulig last season, the German striker initially got off to an impressive start on Tyneside, and it is surprising the Magpies are willing to sanction a loss on his move just 12 months on from his arrival.
It would be even more of a shock if they allowed their Isak replacement to tread the same path as his predecessor without even receiving a fee this summer, as Liverpool are hoping, with PIF seemingly going full throttle into total rebuild under Matthias Jaissle.
